Thank you to my family and friends for your amazing support! I’m doing this!!!

In 3 days, I leave for the Democratic National Convention, as the first woman delegate from Westchester, California  EVER.( I’m an alternate but who cares, I get to go and I’m still a first)  Learning about and running for a position in this delegation process has been fantastic.  I’m excited that my daughters get to see me be a part of history. And, I’m excited for me, that I have this opportunity to NOT be on the side lines for this election.

My hope is to capture this amazing process and share it with you all, no matter what your political views. I’m new to blogging, (literally, reading the directions as I type)  so I will try to be entertaining and informative but mostly, I’m just going to try to capture what I can in this whirlwind of a trip.

A special thank you to my husband and daughters, who give me love and confidence to make me feel like I can do anything, as long as they are near me. To my mom and sisters who are, and always have been, my greatest cheerleaders.  I also have to mention my wonderful family in Orange Co. who can’t understand why or how I am a democrat but support me and cheer me on anyway.  And of course to my amazing support team of friends (who have become my family) at home, you have made it possible for me to be gone.  You know who you are and I hope you know that I wake up each morning feeling blessed to have you in my life. And of course, thank you to all my friends, who I don’t get to see near enough, but who showed up and put money in the piggybank to support my effort, you’re the best, and every cent collected is so appreciated and has gone to good use. I will try to get in the middle of as many camera shots possible to give a shout out to say thank you!!!!  I am a very lucky woman.

… now, on to the DNC and learning how to blog.
